  4. Relationships suck. More specifically, the ones i get into. Right now i am dating this guy. He's sweet and generous and everything i thought i wanted. Until i realized that he broke my number one rule: don't date guys with big egos. It's the ones with big egos that always let you down. If you get a guy with low self-confidence, he will never leave you, because he knows that if he does, he won't find anyone better than you. So should i continue to date my dream guy even though i am paranoid that he will leave me? After all, he is very good looking.

  5. People often mistake my optimistic personality for being easy-going and funny, but this is just a thin veneer. When I moved from St. Clair Shores to new town, I found myself lost and intimidated. I was 12 years old with an enormous shock of curly hair, dark-rimmed glasses and an unforgiving potbelly. I made friends with most of the girls in my class, but come recess time I was an outcast. Boys would make fun of me, and the girls would just sit and watch. My parents would tell me that bullies only made fun of me because they were insecure about themselves. Over time, I had come to realize that my only defense was optimism and kindness. My whole mindset about my own life and others changed. I realized my inner tranquility would only be reached by doing my best possible job to help others reach theirs, even if it meant being kind when others weren’t.

  6. I am a hostess at Mongolian Barbeque in Novi, Michigan. I’ve learned several things from having this job: how to communicate effectively, to work with people of varying backgrounds, to deal with authority figures and how take responsibility for my actions. My dad once told me to treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are decent, but because you are. Rude co-workers and customers come and go all the time. However, if there is one thing I’ve learned from my job, it is that anyone can smile. I’ve developed an aptitude, for seeing someone and being able to read what kind of person they are, what makes them laugh and how to create genuine, long-lasting relationships.

  7. To my friends, family, ice hockey teammates and co-workers, I’m known as “Curly.” Like many individuals in America, my heritage is a cross-section of several ethnicities that have migrated to the metro-Detroit region. I am a mix of Lebanese, Polish and Italian. I am spiritual, but do not adhere to neither Islamic nor Catholic doctrines or protocols. Perhaps it is because of the strong juxtapositions of my heritage that my identity has always eluded both myself and those around me.

  9. In 1996, I lived in a nicely kept middle class home in St.Clair Shores, Michigan. I recall a particular day standing out in the drizzling rain, I beckoned to passers- by the chant of “lemonade!” for hours, stopping only when my mother would finally take away my supplies at nightfall. Over the course of the day, a car would pass and splash me with water, but few had stopped. My two older siblings would then take the money I had earned to purchase their beloved Pokémon cards. As much as I resented them at the time, my motivation to pursue my endeavors did not fade. My work ethic continues to this day, and in a sense, from that moment, I had learned, both figuratively and literally, to turn “lemons” into “lemonade.”

  10. Being only 17, I am fully aware that I have by no means been exposed to everything. I have not yet encountered the worst of times nor the worst of people. I hope to fall down only to build myself up again, just as I’ve done in the past. I wish to be pushed to my breaking point so I can then figure out how to amend the problem. I am not invincible, but by pushing myself to the absolute limit, I will ultimately be a stronger, more perceptive person. There is no tangible evidence for my drive. My transcripts will not accurately show you my dedication. I can only distinguish myself with the events that have created my individuality.

  11. I love being on break. However, it just reminds me how high school is so overrated. I thank High School Musical for blurring my reality into thinking that high school is actually fun. It's not. Waking up at 6 am to go see my classmates ( most of which are fake) and to be poorly taught about things such as the unit circle( which won't apply to real life). It upsets me to know i am wasting valuable time making hand turkeys and coloring in maps of spain when i could be working to pay off the huge amount of debt that will be my college tuition.

  12. Well I just figured out how to get on this site to start blogging so I feel prtty good about myself. Currently I am on break doing nothing but eating pretzels and listening to music. I really wasn't a big fan of music when I was younger. I actually didn't start listening to music until I was about 11ish. I figured I had better things to do then listen for music. Now, I really can't get enough of it. I look for new music constantly and new artists as well. I like the beats that are presented by them. Have a great day.

  14. So today I fould $18 cash on my desk, along with a cap gun. I remember buying the cap gun for new years eve and shooting it off every 5 seconds. It was quite an entertaining item that made many people mad. With the money, I will probably go to Macdons and pick up a few McChickens and some fries. I really do like Macdons because of it's conveinience. I live right by one so it's easy to always get a meal. I find the best thing at McDonalds is the dollar menu. That thing is a life saver. I know when I'm hungry and I need a snack, I can walk in there, pull $1.06 and have a decent snack.

  15. Alright I fixed the name issue. Now I have many interests in my life. However, the topic I'm going to touch on is soccer. I have played for over 12 years and I've gone from team to team. Currently, I play for the Michigan Jaguars. We play in the top 2% of the country and we will probably win State Cup this year. We have a very good team this year. With the new additions, winning our division in the Midwest Regional League should be easy. I play center midfield for our team and I'm more of the distributor of the ball and not the goal scorer.

  16. This fall I will be attending Oakland University to study Electrochemical Engineering. I received a half-ride merit scholarship so that will help keep my student loans down. I was interested in Oakland because of the campus, its programs, and location. It was a very nice fit for me because the first time I visited the campus, I knew that I wanted to go there. I also have the opportunity to play soccer there as a walk-on. This would be very difficult because of the work load it would present. I really hope things work out well for me there.

  17. One of my biggest pet peeves is animal cruelty. I can't even look at some of the images people post on the internet of such violence. The things people do to them is just inhumane. Having 5 dogs and now 4, I have a tough time knowing what could be happening some dog out there. The most recent addition to my family was a dog we found on I-75. He was wandering on the expressway in the median. Thankfully he wasn't hit and we were able to rescue him. He was incredibly malnourished and smelled awful. It was very apparent that his previous owner wanted nothing to do with him. Bleu, our Australian Sheppard, now lives a great life at our house. He is better than ever and he brings a smile to your face everytime. However, I know that we can't prevent animal cruelty from happening but my family tries it's best to house any animal that is neglected and hurt. I don't like the feeling that people have where animals are inferior to humans. It's just not right.

  18. All throughout our childhood we always heard the quote “Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you”, but this really isn’t the case, is it? I know from personal experience, that once something is said about me and I can never let it go. No one can really just brush it off like it’s nothing, we all are offended by other’s words, more so than what we let others believe. Once some harsh words are said, we put on a strong face and act like it doesn’t bothers us, when in reality you’re full of a mixture of rage and pain. People laugh it off, make jokes about it, or even just ignore it like it’s nothing, but those words are still ringing and ringing in our head burning through our brains. So why did most parents and teachers put this quote in our head, leading us to believe it was true, when it wasn’t? People being mean and rude to one another is something that will never stop or change. We all play apart in this, everyday, multiple times a day. Even though we all know what it’s like to have something cruel said to you or about you, we still continue to make someone else feel the same way even though we know what it is like to be hurt.

  19. A quality that I find very important, especially in friendships and relationships, is trust. How are you supposed to be with someone and truly be yourself, if you’re afraid to open up to them and show them the side to you that is vulnerable? The answer is simple, you can’t. If you don’t trust someone with your whole heart, you are never going to truly be yourself. You will be holding your true emotions and feelings back from them, because you’re afraid of them not caring, but in the end you will be the one hurting because you’ll feel like you don’t have someone to rely on when needed. Ever since the beginning of this school year, I’ve had a difficulty trusting people, because of events that have occurred. Having lost a few people who were close to me, I had to start over with the opening up to someone new. However, whenever the opportunity is available, my natural reaction is to just change the subject and forget about everything that has happened. Trust is something you need to have in someone. You have to have faith in people that they’ll be there for you when good things happen as well as when bad things happen.

  20. Over the years that texting has become increasingly popular; teenagers now have it where when they receive a text message, they feel the need to respond right away, this is called instant gratification. Texting while driving is not only a big risk factor for you, but for other drivers as well. This task distracts you from the road. It is possible, that you can be the reason for injuring and possibly even killing someone. If you’re texting, you can easily miss pedestrians walking and cyclists riding their bikes and cost them their life. Do you really want to be the reason for someone’s despair? There is no text message that is important enough for you to read while you’re driving. Texting while driving only takes a split second before your life or someone else’s life could be lost and gone forever. Once it’s done, you can’t take it back. This is one mistake, which you can’t fix.

  21. In classes, both students and the teachers should have responsibility. It's the student’s responsibility to complete their work, ask questions, receive help when needed, and to get all your missing work from your teacher. The teacher's responsibility is to teach us, answer our questions, and be our mentor's throughout our high school careers. Although at times we may not agree with what our teachers have to say and with the rules and guidelines they have, but it is our duty to follow then and give our respect towards our authorities. I must say, at times I get aggravated with my teachers (not in particular you), but with some of my other teacher because I feel they way the teach is difficult for me to learn, but I try to make the most of it. I respect them, do what I am told, follow the rules, and it helps me. If I do my responsibility as a student, in return my teacher will do his/her responsibility as a teacher. In the end, we both end up having respect for one another.

  22. A friend is who person who is always there for one another, someone who will go the extra mile just to make you feel better. Friendship is an unspoken bond that two or more people share. Friendship is something that you should always value. When some boy at school made you cry a friend would just comfort you and tell you he's a jerk, but a good friend would yell at him and threaten to kick his butt. Like I said previously, a good friend will go the extra mile just for you. What I look for in a friend is: honesty, loyal, not someone who is two faced, and someone who I can laugh at the same thing over and over and it will never get old. Friendship is very important to me. I have a few of the greatest friends in the world and I would do anything for them.

  23. I am only 17 years old, but I have already been to 8 different countries, if you include Canada. These include: Italy, Spain, France, Croatia, Belize, Mexico, and China. Traveling is something that both my family and I love to do and have been doing since I was little. I love seeing the world and the different cultures all around the world. How in different places, people do things differently than what we do, to us it's weird, but to them it's normal. One of my favorite places that I have been is Italy. We went and saw the Coliseum, the Spanish steps, the Forum, and the Vatican. Out all of those, the Coliseum was my favorite. To me, I just think it's amazing touching the wall, and knowing that thousands of years ago, someone was touching the same exact spot, but only the Coliseum was real to them. They were going there for a Gladiator contest, or maybe they were even creating the building. Traveling the world is always something that I've been interested, and I plan on seeing the rest of the world someday. Also, this spring break one of my friends and I are going on a cruise and I’m super excited because we’re going to the Bahamas and lots of different places!

  24. One person who has really impacted me and influenced me has been by brother, Ryan. All throughout my childhood, I wanted to be just like him and do everything he did. I thought he was the coolest person ever, because he was older. He would never admit to it, but he was always protective over me in a way. I used to come home from school crying, because of what boys said to me, how they were making fun of me, and being mean. Ryan always said that if any boy ever gave me any trouble, to just let him know and he'll take care of it. He was there for me in ways I didn't think he would. How Ryan has influenced me was senior year when Ryan wasn't doing well in school because he was really lazy, I saw how mad my parents were towards him. It scared me so much. Then this year and last year, my grades shot up, it was because of him. I know it's kind of weird, and the opposite, but Ryan influenced me and impacted me, by me not wanting to be like him for once. This year, Ryan has changed. He has turned his study habits around and is making a tremendous come back. He has also helped me stand on my ground. He always told me to never let people walk over me and to stand up for myself. Ryan, though sometimes I become severely aggravated and annoyed with him, he is by far the best brother in the world.

  25. Right now I'm in Personal Finance and I am listening to music. This was a class that I thought would actually be useful for later in life. I have learned many thing from this class but it doesn't have the best crowd in it. I didn't realize that this is a class for kids who didn't want to take Trigonometry. My dad and I have gone over many things that I have learned from this class so it has been helpful. I have been in the stock market for a while but my dad is the one who manages my shares. Now that I have learned many things from this class, I can actually take control of the money I have invested in the stock market. I can now look at my dad without a blank stare when he is sharing information about the stock market. I am very glad that I took this class this year and I don't regret it.

  26. Math has been my favorite subject in school since I can remember. I have always enjoyed working with numbers. This year I have been tested with AP Calculus. This definitely has not been my best year when it comes to grades in that class. I have had to come in multiple times to get some extra credit and extra help. I want to know the material and not just get a grade. When something in math clicks with me, it's really a great feeling. This year and last year were years where I really had to try in math. The previous years I had easy topics to memorize so it wasn't all that difficult. When I don't get something, I can go right to my dad and ask him for help because he was great with math in high school as well. Everybody complains about math but I don't understand why. It is the only thing in this world that is the same in every country.

  27. For those that don't know me as well. I'm for the most part an easy going person. I try to make as many friends as i can because i like to hold conversations with people. Some of my interests include sports music movies all of stuff that people can relate to. I played football this year ending our season with a win over the Milford mavericks!!!. Hate that team, but i also play baseball. I'm really excited to play baseball this year because we have 7 returning seniors and we're looking pretty good. Hopefully we will take the eagles to states to bring a title to lakeland.

  28. So i got deferred from The University of Michigan awhile ago. And up until just yesterday i was perfectly fine knowing that i may not get in. However, i sat in on a class at Eastern yesterday with my boyfriend. As i looked around, i almost started crying when i realized that if U of M rejects me, that this is where i would be going. Not to sound mean or anything, but the people there were pretty weird. The type of people in high school that you would consider a major outcast. Imagine that, but the entire class. I know it was just one class, but i did not feel like i fit in at Eastern and now it is too late to apply to other colleges!

  29. I just wrote an outline to my University of Michigan admissions video. I'm hoping that if they see me and see how badly i want this, that i will be more than just a name in the pile of deferees. Although i am worried about how rigorous the classes are at U of M, i'm even more worried about being raped at Eastern. I made a huge mistake by only applying to colleges near my boyfriend in Ann Arbor. No doubt we're going to get married lol but i still feel like i trapped myself by making a decision based on him

  30. Recently, I got ACL surgery about 3 months ago. I finished physical therapy about a month ago and now and I am about 80% good. The doctor said that I made one of the quickest recoveries he has ever seen. It started back in December of 2009 when I was snowboarding. I tried to jump onto a handrail and boardslide it, but I cought and edge and got thrown under the rail. I hit on of the posts holding the rail up with the side of my knee. I think at that point I sprained my MCL. I dealt with the discomfort for a while and even played all lacrosse season last year with something sprained. This past October, I was playing in the fundraiser Girls v Guys game and I went to juke around someone when my knee buckled. That was the moment that I tore my ACL. I underwent surgery on November 23rd, and it is now 3 months later. I should be all good to play lacrosse this year as long as I get a brace.

  31. Lacrosse is one of the funnest sports around to play. I have been playing for about 6 years total now and I love it. Including this year, I will have played for 3 years on Varsity and one year on JV when I leave Lakeland. I play the position "Attack" which is similar to a forward in soccer or hockey. Last year, I was the second leading scorer on the team as a Junior with 24 goals and many assists. I was elected to the KLAA All-Area 2nd Team and this year I hope to make the KLAA All-Area 1st Team. One thing about our team is that it is Lakeland and Milford combined as the Huron Valley Titans. This makes it hard to have a large fan base because no Lakeland people want to ttravel to Milford to watch our games. Every year, the two schools alternate hosting home games. This year, our games will be at Milford. I really wish we had more fans because I think lacrosse is one of the most fun sports to play and watch.

  33. Thinking back to last year, I had some amazing times at my cabin. My cabin is in Rose City, MI just south of West Branch. Occasionally we go up there to dirt bike. However, this year was definitely a warmer year so we went to the beach much more. At the beach we met some very interesting people. Generally there was that same crowd there. This was your typical beer drinking party crowd. We played volleyball and football and everything at the beach. It's not exactly what you would call a beach because there is about a yard of sand coming off the water and the rest is grass. This year I decided to bring a friend up there and we had a great time. We went to the beach so we could introduce her to all of the people. But that weekend, we met one of the craziest guys ever. His name was Nick and it was his birthday. He was taking shot after shot poiring beer on his head smoking joint after joint. Now, seeing that he was not all there, he was very friendly. He sucked at volleyball but you didn't expect much from him. This will be a memory that I will never forget.

  34. As previously stated, I love to listen to music. My favorite types of music are hip hop, rap, techno, and some oldies. I don't really have a favorite artist because I like many different songs. People know that I know a large variety of songs because I know all of the lyrics. I can memorize songs fairly easy so it's fun to impress people with knowing an entire song. Rap songs are a wee bit more difficult to memorize because they rap so fast whereas a typical Ke$ha song is very simple to remember. I know all of the lyrics to all of the songs on my iTunes and many more. Due to me listening to a lot of music, I decided to upgrade my car audio as well. I put some aftermarket items in to make the sound quality better. I'm glad I did because the music is now much louder and clearer. So I hope you're having a good day and enjoyed reading yet another blog.

  35. ive been through alot in my life. it always gets worse before it gets better and thats always brief. sick of hitting low spots and seeing negative things where instead i should be seeing the positive. never had parents who loved each other. they got a devorce and she took everything before we got home. ive been blacklisted for the rest of my life for somthing i didnt know any better about. live my life in my head. the shadow is where its warm inside, its my palce to hide. music gets me there, its my high. never one of the guys just part of a small crowd. its what i know. afraid to tear down my walls. they have become my prizon. i fell trapped in life so i hide infront of a screen where i can block it all out. turn up the volume and drown everything out. see me for who i am on the inside, that is if you can get that far. the truth is where fear hides. is it why were afraid? that doesnt matter any more. are nation is lost in my eyes...

  36. Yesterday I helped out at my friends organization that she created called Angels for Animals, we had our annual bowl-a-thon. It's an organization only for animals they raise money for the animals different shelters and for animals to be raised like if someone can't afford food. Anyway, I ended up selling raffle tickets for the prizes we had, we had over 60 different prized all of them were donated. It was awesome we raised over $2,000. We were selling raffle tickets like I said, 50/50 tickets, and the bowling itself which was $20 a person. It's amazing helping like that and hanging out with friends. I feel as though even though I only did 1 thing that I made a big difference.

Wake up parentals and cut the umbilical cord. Your " little girl" is 18 now and she is going off to college in less than 5 months. If you can't trust her to go to Chicago for 4 days then your going to have another thing coming when shes in grand rapids for a year,

  38. I'm in such a bad mood today. I weighed myself and i gained 7 pounds. At night, when i am stressed i tend to sleepwalk. Not only sleepwalk though, sleep eat. It has become a huge issue for me and during the night ( no matter how much i diet during the day) i go downstairs and consume anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 calories. It's horrible and very stressful, ecspecially because there is nothing i can do about it, i hope i am not stuck with this the rest of my life!!

  39. I feel so overwhelmed for some odd reason. 2nd semester of my senior year and im still stressed! This whole college process is just so stressful. For me, i stress out when there is a certain amount of uncertainty. Not knowing where i am going to end up, how i am going to like it or fit in makes me very nervous. On top of all of that i am falling behind in my lasses due to the fact that i have been trying to focus on things such as scholarships and college applications

  40. I have to wonder if you actually read these. I must say, i actually really enjoy the book that we are reading in class. However, i dont believe in any of it. It would be nice to believe in love at first sight, but i think knowing someones character is what we are attracted too. Morals, ideals, behavior and other characteristics come with spending time with a person. But you certainly cannot tell these things by merely looking into someones eyes. It actually annoys me a little that some believe so. Or rather i am just jealous that i have never had that!

  41. Yes! My last blog post and i will be done! I really hope that we doing have to do this towards the end of the year. Usually, when i vent, i don't like to type things out because then there is no feedback. With talking to a person you can tell how they feel and it kind of puts you into a reality check. For example, when i get mad at my boyfriend i always vent to my friends. Sometimes they tell me i am just being silly. Although it gets me mad at first, i always think about it and usually wind up realizing that i was wrong.

  42. Change. It is a scary word that most of us try to avoid. I, myself still don't like change, but I have come to understand that change is what makes our lives and who we are. Change isn't always for the worse. Usually it is for the better. To make us see things in new ways and experience new things. Change just leads us to the next part in our lives.

    ReplyDelete
  43. A value that is undervalued in our society is respect. People today really aren't as nice to each other and don't show respect at all. Some examples of this would be people not holding doors open for other people or shoving people. Elders today really are not seen as good or better people. People treat them the same way as they would treat a twenty year old person. No matter what someones social status or standard of living, everyone deserves the same amount of respect. Today, respect is found fewer and farther in between and it diminishes people's selfesteem. This value could become more important by demonstrations of others respecting others. People will follow when they see something that makes them feel better inside.

    ReplyDelete
  44. A person that has had an impact on me is my Grandma. She is her own person. She is a stonger willed person than you would figure for someone her age. She likes to do things herself without help. If she absolutely needs the help, she would let you know. She can handle herself in the world. My Grandma doesn't care what other people think about her. When I am older, I want to stay the stay the same way I am right now. I want to be loud and outgoing. I want to be a tough person like many other people that I know. Once I grow older, I will only think back to my childhood and act how I acted back then. We recently visited my Grandma and she is now over 90 years old and she's still a champ. I hope I can make it to that mark as well.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I heard something today that I wanted to blog about. Someone said, "You need to stand and be counted." I believe that this saying means that you should stand up in the world. It could also mean that you should take credit and responsibility for your actions. If you are a person that just hides or is quiet, you won't get recognized. People who are the most successful in life are loud and outgoing. I think that people shouldn't just hide and stay away from the world. I think that everyone should be noticed. I think that it could also mean that everyone has a purpose in life. However, it is up to that person to fulfill it. No one should be overlooked because they weren't the shining star. For example, in soccer, many of the people who get the assists are overlooked while the goal scorers get all of the glory. The people who get the assists are just as important because if they weren't there to assist the goal, thhe goal would have never happened.

  46. Popularity is a very loose term because something can be popular in its own way. Nobody or anything is really popular. It's the group that they fall that makes them popular in their own way. There are many groups of people and things but popularity however someone or something is viewed will make it popular. People who call other people popular really shouldn't because popularity is defined as how you want to define it. Whenever I talk to my dad about the popular crowd, he says no one is popular. He always tells me that they are just another group. You don't have to be in with the "cool" kids just to say your popular. You have to make yourself popular by being outgoing and friendly. People will accept you for who you are and those are the people that make you popular.

  47. Truth really can't be described. Truth is interpreted differently by almost every person. One person could be very strict about truth while another person tells a million white lies and thinks that they're being truthful. The truth about life is that it is completely unfair. No matter how much you try to make everything go right, something will always slap you in the face. Truth is a cruel reality of life. It makes people who they are. It also be a way of describing yourself. I think for myself, I am a very honest person because I hold a high standard for myself. I try to be honest with people because I expect that they are inturn honest with me. Things are already tough in life without lying. Why make things more complicated then they need to be? I know for myself when it comes to serious things, I am a very trustworthy person.

  48. I saw this quote on Facebook today and I thought this would be a good blogger.
“We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us.”
    Virginia Satir

Allowing perceptions to limit yourself is completely wrong. That would mean other people would control you because everyone perceives you differently. I think this quote means you can't allow other people to control you. If you focused on every little perception someone made about you, you couldn't even live. Being a people-pleaser really stresses you out. Nobody will always be happy with you. Being imperfect is a natural thing and letting perceptions get in the way of living your life will only slow you down. If you excel past the perceptions, then life will be much better. Perceptions don't define you unless you let them. Only you and your actions can define you. Perceptions can be good and bad but you can't allow them to slow your life down.

I have to make up tests that I am notready for, which in turn causes my grade to drop in the chosen class. I have been trying to keep up, and I am doing the best I can, so it will pass soon. I also have no money. I work but by the time my paycheck come I put it all into my gas tank and there isnt any to set away and save.

  51. Something I am not fond of is winter and the promise that global warming is going to occur. I would like global warming to happen already, but its not going to. This is a lie because I still can see my breath in the air, my skin keeps getting whiter and whiter, and I always manage to slip on the ice. Personally, I'm not from Alaska or an Eskimo. Therefore, I don't own huskies, snowshoes or cross country skies. For example, one night in January I went to Island Sun Tanning because I was feeling very self conscious about my Casper inspired pigmentation. I went tanning for 20 minutes, soaking up the rays and hoping to achieve a sun kissed glow. After, I walked outside and it was snowing and all that fun stuff. I slipped on the curb on black ice and cracked the side of my head open on the cement. I saw stars, it was gushing blood and I just chilled on the cement. My head was cracked open so deep that I had to go get it glued and I had a minor concussion . If global warming was real none of this would have happened.

  52. Facebook Status' are now Motivational & Philosophical
I like every other normal mainstream American have a Facebook profile page. And I check it multiple times via mobile phone or computer. And when I log in I check out the live feed to see what's up in the 248. Except there's a small problem... I'm not getting updates on whats happening but some new trend that is striking hard and blowing up my live feed. I have noticed all of my FB friends are posting motivational/ philosophical quotes that are suppose to be inspiring and motivate me to change my life. Sorry, I am neither motivated nor inspired by your status. All I will do is simply click and like it. I wasn't aware that by going to Google and typing in "motivational quotes" now makes you the next Mark Twain. If I wanted to learn about philosophy, I would take a class on it, not log into Facebook. I think the fb friends should post funny stats and FML moments. The sad thing is these people probably don't even live by their fb stats. They just post them to look intelligent and show off their new prospect on life. That's fine, everyone has the right to be a unique individual. All I know is I will keep my fb stats about wanting junk food, how global warming is a lie and how I need to go shopping because I hate all my clothes.

  53. Attacked by a FEROCIOUS billy goat on my 12th birthday!
A fond memory from my childhood would have to be my twelve birthday. I was in Florida at Gatorland, just celebrating my birthday, doing my thing. The fam was there ( Junie, Mr.Mike and Andy) and my Nana and Papa. There was a petting zoo there and you could feel the farm animals. Well my Papa, bought a ice cream cone filled with kibble in it for a $1.00. So, I went in the zoo, and fed a white llama. The llama was chill and seemed like a nice llama. I even gave the llama a pat on the head. Then I noticed a billy goat taking interest in me because of the food. I wouldn't feed the goat because he was ugly. I was content just feeding the llama. Before I knew it the goat rammed his horns into my upper thigh. It was a force like I have never felt before, and the pressure from the goats horns created a pressure cut. So, my thigh was gashed open and dripping blood. Then if that wasn't enough, the billy goat decided to put its hoofs on my chest. So, the billy goat jumped up on me and knocked me down. I started screaming bloody murder and bawling my eyes out because I was ATTACKED! Then the animal trainer took Joe the billy goat by his horns to a holding pen. My parents came out and were just staring at me. Then we went and got out money back for the entrance fee. After that we road tripped it to Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital emergency room. There we told the ER doctor what happened. I got 9 stitches in my thigh to close the cut. I also had a bruised breast bone (sternum) from the goat. The bruise was in the shape of a hoof print. I still have a scar of from the billy goat and that thing wont go away. My name is Morgan Senick and I was attacked by Joe the Billy Goat on my 12th birthday.

  54. The importance of having your foundation match your skin tone
The importance of having your foundation matched to your skin tone is a necessity. I have been a victim of the orange, cakey un blended face. And trust me, I see pictures and I think " I thought I looked so hott that day." Truth is I looked like an ompa lumpa with dry skin and orange patches. That was in the 8th grade, then I discovered the makeup counters at Nostrums and Macys. These professionals matched my skin tone to the foundation. Yes, I spend about $40- $65 on foundation but its SO worth it. I have tried all types from the dewy finish to an air brush finish. I recommend either Dior or Smashbox, they work wonders. Everyday at LHS I witness the orange problem and just smh ( shake my head). The "problem" can be fixed, and peoples complexion can look like just how they edit their pictures on facebook! I recommend it, the face will be glowing ( and not from the orange.) I'm not sure if the Clementine Cuties are the inspiration behind this epidemic. The clementine cutie cartoons are cute. But once your face starts looking like a legit clementine cutie its not so cute.

The title of this blog entry.. Its in Hebrew. I had to go to google translator to get that because I don't speak of the Hebrew language. My inspiration for this blog is Matisyahu because I have been listening to his music all day. I actually really like reggae/ chill music most of the time. But I am know for listneing to Lil Wayne and BSpears. Matisyahu is a Jewish guy who sings reggae music. Specifically, his song "King Without a Crown" came across my ipod today and I remember how much I heart him! Matisyahu's music is the chill of chill. Its ideal for laying out on the boat in the summer and just tanning. Or if I'm just laying around and need some chill music. I dont even know how to explain his style of music it just makes you want to chill. Even though, I cant understand him sometimes its still good music. Even the lyrics make sense because they are so laid back and not philosophical. His lyrics have a deep meaning but are so simple to understand that I dont have to even think about it. This music is also good for just chilling with a group of people. From the acoustic guitar being in tune with Matisyahu's voice. His voice sounds kinda of that of a Jamaican but he is Caucasian. I just really like his music and will listen to it in any chill situation. This music is good for coffee shops but not for the night clubs.

  58. I have insomnia I sleep about three hours a night during the school week. I go to bed between 2:00 am and 3:00am. But I manage to wake up and have SO much energy. I wake up happy and am always in a good mood. Most people are so tired and cranky in the morning. I am not and never have been and its kind of strange. Most people on the way to school just drive in silence or listen to talk radio. I plug in my ipod and blast the music 3/4 to full volume. In the morning I like to listen to 955, 98.7 music and sing along. I look so stupid but thats okay I just crack myself up because I look like an idiot. Then even in first hour I have good energy and am always smiling. For the amount of sleep I get this shouldn't be happening. Then right after school its like I get more energy again, but eventually once a month I crash and sleep for like two days.

  59. My parent lock up junk food in a cabinet with a lock and key. I dont know any parents that do this. We are limited to one junk food a day. Every night either my parents create some organic inspired meal. We have food from salmon cooked on a wet wood plank with asparagus and some other healthy stuff. Or we have Mahi Mahi. We never eat red meat because it is pretty disgusting. We have turkey tacos, sloppy joes and even turkey chili. We only eat good carbs. When we have pasts we get the healthy organic stuff. I get in trouble for going to fast food places. I get screamed at because " I am trying to kill myself" not seriously just because of the diabetes. But honestly my house has the healthiest food and some of its good. But the other organic stuff is disgusting. My house doesnt even own peanut butter, we have the natural stuff 100% grind ed up peanuts no sugar or anything added. My mothers always cuts fresh food and makes a display. So overrated, I just want junk food

  60. On Monday night after work, I went hunting.... with my car. I was on Commerce Road and Bandit the raccoon was in the middle of the road. I'm not sure if he was trying to commit suicide or just cross the road. I really didnt appreciate Bandit being there. I was jamming to music the song 'Look at Me Now" by Chris Brown. Went to slam on my breaks because I saw Bandit there. It was to late, I killed him with my car. Trust me, I didnt do this on purpose because I didnt want dead raccoon on my car. When I hit him I started crying and got out of my car. Then cried more because there was dead raccoon on my car. It was disgusting and not easy to look at. Then I named him because I made a facebook status about him. If animals had an autopsy report, Bandits cause of death would conclude, "Cause of Death- Morgan Senick". So that was my first time hunting and getting a raccoon. RIP BANDIT :(

Before he died in the motorcycle accident, he told me that you need to take life easy and make the best of it because you will kick yourself later for it. Its still hard knowing that hes gone but he made an impression on everyone that he met.

  65. Yesterday, someone asked me how i was popular and how I got so many friends and I thought about it. Popularity I think has been twisted these days because just because you have a facebook that might have over 1,000 friends, they feel good about it. Another thing that really gets me is when guys or girls get material things and show them off to people and they get popular for it. I just don't get it! To me, just be yourself and everything will fall in place. I don't really care if I'm not because after high school, it won't matter

Derek came up with this idea of off roading and I've never done it before, let alone in my car. There were some trails that he knew about behind meijers and we went back there to go off roading. I have never had that much fun in my life! Its definitely an experience that everyone should try. There was a mud puddle and i decided to gun it through but my car got stuck in the mud and water started treading into the jeep. I called my friend to come pull us out but someone from alpine valley saw me and came to pull me out. After I was pulled out, my car was covered in mud and it was funny. Washing my car was the worst part because it took about an hour to get all the mud out but it was definitely worth it.

  76. PDA... Public displays of affection, its everywhere... Lakeland, the mall, restaurants and just walking down the street. These couples hold on to each other like they are on the titanic or something. Last time I checked that boat sank in the early 1900's. Unless, one of you is going to die soon, dont do that. And kissing in the hallway for like three minutes. SICK, I dont want to look at that and hear your slurping kissing noises. It sounds like a dog drinking from a water bowl. Esp, if I see the same people day after day in the same place. Go under the stairs or something then you wont be obstructing my vision. When people hold hands in the hallway and spread apart and walk really slow. I will play red rover through you, so lets move it. At restaurants, when couples sit on the same side of a booth. Are you having a conversation with imaginary people? And don't make out while I'm working the register.I'm not a hotel receptionist checking you into a hotel room. I am taking your order for food! ALso, when people make their profile pics of them kissing their bf's or gf's. Pictures now... whats next? That could ruin someones reputation or start a "career" hence Kim Kardashian. So a little bit of PDA is okay but when your acting like your in a Kay Jewelers commercial, the camera is not on you.

  77. It disgust me when 13 and 14 year olds makeout in the hall ways. A simple kiss to say goodbye should be good enough, your going to see them in 45 minutes anyways and its kind of just unclassy. It also bothers me when they smoke cigs and weed and think its cool, because really it just makes them look stupid, their still babies. Highschool goes by fast and your forced to grow up alot faster, they need to enjoy their time being young and stop trying to act grown.

There were outfitteres from fishing trips on the great lakes to safari hunts in Africa. This really got me exciting for this summer to go bass fishing, and this fall to go deer hunting

It felt like the kind of weather that I would be in when I go hunting. i felt like I should Have been up north, stuck in a tree somewhere with my bow. Unfortunatly, next hunting season is not until next fall, but that doesnt mean I cant think about it. For whatever reason, hunting and being uup north is my paradise. Id take a cold day in the woods with my bow or rifle over a day on the beach any day. Thats just the kind of person I am. I cant wait until next fall, but there is always lake fishing to pass the time until then!

I have to say though that gymnastics has shaped who I am today and has played a major role in my life. I have not only learned what people see, like the gymnastics skills and flips, but I have learned other valuable things in life. Things like developing friendships, working as a team, trust, believing in yourself, hopes and dreams, time managment, working hard, confidence, and so much more. Gymnastics is not only important to me, but it has taught me so much.

The cool thing about my birthday this year was that we got the day off of school becasue of ACT testing. That was really a bonus I didnt expect. For my birthday, my family and I went out for dinner to a place called Uptown Grille. The food was fantastic and is a place I would love to go again. Many people rave about it, and all the hype is true. Even on a Tuesday night, the place was absolutly packed, and the parking lot was full to the brim. The best places are always the most crowded, but it was well worth it. All in all it was a great birthday.

  85. Stress is a huge factor in my life. There are just so many things to be done, but not enough time to do it all. My mom always tell me to not worry about it, and it's okay if I don't get it done. As long as I try, and do as much as I can, everything will be okay. So far with school, though, if you don't get things done, no matter how much you work and try for things, if you don't finish it, then your out of luck, and a grade. But, I just need to keep reminding myself to calm down.

  86. I love my puppy dog Bailey! She's so cute and adorable! She's a yellow lab, golden retriever mix. She is huge! She sheds way too much though, and it's always long thick, but soft, hair. Sometimes she will be very mischievous and get into trouble. It's not because she doesn't know any better, cause she knows what she's doing, it's because she wants attention. She will do anything to get someone to pay attention and play with her. Sometimes, she'll just stand there and cry until someone does. She's a good girl, but she's really needy. Also, she's already about twenty six inches tall, which is super tall for her type of dogs, and she's only about one year and three months! I prefer larger dogs, though. Those small ones are just annoying.

  88. ~ I love my friends, family, and dogs!
My friends are the world to me they are the ones I fall back on when I need help and they give me the support I need. I had some bad picks in friends before the ones I have now. I’m so glad to have them! My family well duhh I love them! I had a troubling childhood with one side of my family but I didn’t relies it until I moved away from it all and saw that what was going on wasn’t right. I still love my whole family I just try and ignore all their faults. It’s hard but only possible because of the other side of my family. They helped me get though everything and didn’t let me fall apart; they kept me strong and taught me a lot. My dogs! I love them I have a golden retriever and chocolate lab mix named Marty, she is 7, and a black lab and something else mix named Moose, he is 1. They cuddle with me just about every night. Moose is very stinky though his farts are sick it’s like something ate a rotten egg then died. It’s sick! But his curtness makes up for it!

I think I might be seeing it soon I’m going to Panama for spring break! I’m so excited! I’m going with my best friends Jessica, Janessa and Ali. We are driving down and staying for a week. And we might stop at a few places on the way back. I wish it would come faster! I don’t know what else to say about the sun except for I love it! And want it hereerre!

  90. January of 2010, I got my wisdom teeth yanked from my mouth. After it was done the nurse told my mom I kept saying " Lets party", and how I wanted to dance and go in a moon bounce. I also kept saying " I want to make a tooth necklace" and how it would be so fashion forward. Behold, the nurse gave my mother a plastic bag of my four wisdom teeth. They said I was the most interesting patient they have seen my age. I don't recall any of that, but at least I was talking about important things like fashion and having fun! All drugged up and high as the sky, still in "party mode". My dad pulled the car up to the entrance, I got in all drugged up and laughing. The song "Since You've been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson came on. That was my cue to sing. So I sang and when I screamed "Since you've been gone!!!!", blood poured out of my mouth. I looked like a vampire. Junie said " Omg, you ripped your stitches!" Sure enough I did, we were still in the parking lot. Junie escorted my inside and they restitched it. On the way home I decided to have a photo shoot and sent a picture of my face to people in my phone. Lets just say I looked like I needed plastic surgery. At home, I started crying because I thought my tongue was my lips. Then I was emotional and went to sleep. In the morning, I woke up and saw my bag of teeth. So creative of me to have wanted to make a tooth necklace.

  92. "Anybody can become angry- that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose and in the right way- that is not withen everybodys power and is not easy." I found this quote a couple weeks ago when my ex and i were fighting and i absloutly fell in love with it. He would always get angry about small silly things and the anger was usually never towards the person in the wrong. To me it is a stong quote because its so easy to get angry about somthing you dont like and take out your frusteration on anyone near you, however it takes a stronger person to be angry at the right person and for the right reason and to the right degree and at the right time.

  94. I got in my first car accident at the end of january. I just read a couple hours ago in our constitution that we have the right to a speedy trial, my informal hearing isnt until april 29th! I cant get points taken off my license for three months after my accident. Another thing i dont like about our police/court systems is that although a small fender bender might have been your fault, if the person who you hit doesnt contact the police and one just rolls up they shouldnt be allowed to give you a ticket. The lady had written down almost all of my information and then a cop pulls up and says lets do this the right way, as a result i got a ticket. she was pretty nice about it and said go fight it so i dont get any points however i dont think i should even have to do that.

  95. On tuesday i was at court and waited over two hours for the judge to show up. Everyones apoitment was at 9:00am and he didnt get there until a little after 11, judge mackenzie is never on time ive waited over three and a half before. Anyways, during the time i was sitting outside his court room i got to talking with another girl who was there because she failed a jams test. The reason she was on jams is because she pushed her boyfriends head away because he was all up in her face, the cops showed up and she was charged. As a result she was put on two years of probation! To me that is rediculas, she shouldnt have ever been charged in the first place let alone TWO years on probation. She only failed one test, and came with her 4year old daughter. When she went in front of him he sent her to jail. To me this seems outragous because she has never been in trouble before with the law before and only messed up one time. the person i was there with had missed jams twice and failed once and was just sentenced longer probation. When we were done, we walked outside and her daughter was crying saying my mommy went to jail, it was so sad! I dont think our court systems are fair.

  96. A teacher will give an assignment and will give time for us to work on the assignment in class. Yet, I look around the room and noone is working on the assignment. Instead people are staring at the wall, sleeping, or texting on their phones. For me I can't do this at all. When given time in class, I always use it because I am always busy. I used to be a gymnast and everyday after school, I would get ready for practice and head for the gym right away. I had practice Monday-Friday from 3:30-8:30. Not only that I had to wake up early Saturday and have practice from 8:00-2:00. So, it's not surprising that gymnastics used to be my life. Also, some weekends I would spend the entire weekend traveling for a gymnastics meet. I've gone to many places in all over Michigan, as well as Chicago, Ohio, Florida, and Texas. So, I quess that I always take the time to do my work when I can because I seem to never have time to do it otherwise.

  99. Being cool isn't always cool. People strive to be like eveyone else or to be like the popular one in school, but why? Why change yourself to be like someone else? Just because someone listens to this type of music or dresses that way, doen't mean that you should too. Just do what you want to do and don't change yourself to look cool. Just be who you are.

  100. Friday wasn't one of my good days. I forgot most of my homework at home and I didn't get enough sleep that day. I just didn't feel like doing anything that day and it got worse. After I got home from school, I had to go to work until 7 and that was hard. Once I got home, I got a paper from the State of Lansing saying that I was on probation. I have never been on something like this before. It said that I was on probation for my accident until November 30 and I cant get into anymore accidents.

To have time to yourself is really important, at least to me its important. It gives you time to think about certain things that run through your head all day. For people that don't have days like this i really insist that you try it because it relieves a lot of stress.

I'm kinda sick of high school because i still feel like theirs cliques and its funny to think that i was apart of that throughout high school. I feel as if im finally figuring out what kind of person i am and i'm so sick of being a follower. I'm ready to be an individual and be my own person. One of the things that ive learned over the years in high school is its how you fit in. Its so stupid, because its four years of your life honestly who cares, be your own person don't be a follower.

  105. I just crept on the blog wall and realized all my class mates are philosophers in training. Ahh, I haven’t blogged about anything deep yet and I havent shared my life story. But in my defense I did “lol” at my own entries. Currently, I am trying to think of a deep thought to blog about. Topics come to mind but none that would be interesting for my peers to read. If it makes me seem anymore philosophical I did Google “The meaning of life” and did read about it for like five minutes. Currently, I am supposed to be writing scholarship essays and doing homework. I just got really annoyed out of no where and that NEVER happens. I need to go running on the treadmill, so this entry is done.

  107. For this blog I would like to acknowledge the accomplishment of the lakeland varsity hockey team on winning districts and going to the regional finals. This team was constantly picked to lose big games throughout the season. They were never favored and were called the "bad news bears" of high school hockey. They managed to come together during the most important time of the season and do a great job. Not only did it bring the team closer, but the fans also. People were pumped up and excited to go watch the game and cheer on their fellow classmates, especially the 2011 grads. This unfortunately ended up being the last game for this group of men, but it left an impact on everybody that was there. I was both happy and sad for my friends, but the expercience i had was unforgettable. I hope that the baskteball team in fortunate enough to pull out a win against milford tonight and rep the blue and white. Along with my sport, baseball this upcoming season! Feel free to come and support our Lakeland Baseball and softball this upcoming season!

  108. I haven't had a chance to post since Thursday so on Friday was awesome! In my first hour there were these 2 girls I'll call them girl 1 and girl 2. Anyways my friends were back from taking the ACT so I wasn't alone so I was hyper. I told girl 1 what her second hour teacher thought of her because I have said teacher third hour. She thought I was wrong because she would not have described herself that way. Then girl 2 went to the bathroom when her part was about to start singing, so I went up and took her spot and sang her part even bent down so I would be about her height. Then kept telling her that I made a better her than she did.

Like I said before I couldn't post until today so I have another story from Friday, during my 6th hour my teacher was going around putting a +1 if we did our homework so after he gave me a +1 for having it down I complained it wasn't a smiley face. So he came back from the next student's homework he was checking and gave me a smiley face. That literally made my day and made me feel so accomplished because nobody else got a smiley face.

Or vitamin water. Lip gloss I always have I would die without it I hate chapped lips they’re sick!! The song E.T I listen to over and over in my car. 114. ~I love to fish and hunt
K I may not look like the type of girl to love hunting and fishing but I do. I grew up in a little town called reed city and that’s pretty much all we had to do. I grew up with my uncle Nate who is a year younger than me (long story lol) and we would always be outside on the dirt bikes, four wheelers, gator, tractor, swimming, fishing or hunting. I’m still kinda close with Nate but not as close I we use to be. Now I live here and on a lake so I still fish all the time but I don’t hunt that often anymore because I don’t have the time to drive 3 hours up north to do so:[ but I still get to fish. I have gotten a doe she saw a pretty big not huge but a good size. That’s the only deer I’ve gotten otherwise its birds, bunnies and squirrels lol. I’m not taking classes till the winter so this year i'll have time to hunt!

I guess this kinda goes with my other blog. I hate the color pink it’s too girly. I like to dress up if that counts as girly? And to have my nails painted I hate painting them though it takes too long for them to dry. I love frogs and any kind of reptile. My best friend and I go frog and turtle hunting in the summer on my lake! I caught this one frog that was bigger than my hand! Haha it was sweet. Like I said before I like to hunt and fish. And I’m not afraid to gut a fish or deer I’ve done it before its sick but I can do it. I hate girls that are afraid of things like that. Like spiders, I hate spiders and if one is on me ill freak but I hate the girls that scream at the word spiders. Like really grow up!

  116. ~I have two fake teeth
My two front teeth are fake. I was hit by a car mirror going 35 mph when I was like 5 and my teeth were still in my gums so when I got hit it made them fragile. Then I was around 7 when I broke them for the first time. I was horsing around with my uncle, Nate, and hit my jaw on his head and they chipped. The second time Nate threw a coffee mug at my face and they chipped again. The third time I was capping and I was eating a sugar daddy, the caramel on a stick thing, and they got stuck to the candy and pulled right off. The fourth time I ran into a wall and the last time I don’t know who I broke them but I could pull them on and off. (Which isn’t normal lol?) but now i have them all set and "new adult teeth" so they should not break any more. hopefully!

  117. ~I have been hit in the face by a car mirror going 35
K well I sorta explained this in my last blog but in more detail, I was getting off the bus when I was in kindergarten. The bus was on the opposite side of my house and when I went to go walk around the bus a car came and hit me in the face lol. I swear I looked twice but my mom says I ran across the road. I don’t rember much after getting hit just lying on the back broad and seeing everyone on the bus stare at me. Then in the hospital I rember laying on a really uncomfortable bed and rolling down a huge white hall. I tried to sit up but when I did I was pulled back down, I thought my head was duct taped to the board, so I cried. Then I rember leaving and the doctor giving me a blue bumble bee and my dad giving me a sad puppy. Which I still have to this day.

  118. I’ve been having a very bad day today, so I decided I’m going to rant about things that really bother me. I really don’t like when people go back on their word, or when they say they’re trying “to protect you”. I am a big girl and can protect myself. I don’t need someone saying they don’t want to hurt me anymore, so there hurting me more to protect “me”. That right there is a whole bunch of bull. They really don’t mean that, that is their way of saying that they don’t want you anymore, but they don’t actually want to come right out and say it. It’s actually a lot better to tell the truth and to speak what you really feel, then to lie about it, because in the end the lie will hurt more than the truth. If you lie to someone about your feelings that aren’t true, you give them hope that there’s still nothing, but you crush them more and more every time you get their hopes up and smack them in the face, because you couldn’t even tell them the truth.

  119. Going off of what William said with the perceptions, people pleaser, and being imperfect, although I do agree with him, in some ways I don’t. I would call myself a people pleaser, because I do like everyone around me to be happy because that is what makes me happy. At times, yes it can be very stressful, but if that is what makes me happy, then so be it. However, it’s not that I go above and beyond to personally and individually make everyone me happy, because that is impossible. I just like me on good terms with the people I’m around, because I am the one who has to deal with them. Furthermore, I agree with the fact that we can’t take what people about us to the heart, in the end it will destroy us, because you will be trying to be someone else’s version of perfect and you won’t really being you. My mom has always told me to just be me. When I was younger that seemed so strange, I didn’t know how I could be anyone else but me. It’s not that I realize, we get so caught up in other people, their business, and their drama, and that you forget who you are. If people don’t accept you for who you are, then they aren’t your time. We are who we are.

    ReplyDelete
  120. “You can do whatever you want, I don’t want to control you,” has to be the line that makes me the most angry and frustrated. Clearly, when someone is saying that you, you can’t do whatever you want. If you did something that they didn’t approve of, they would chew you out and accuse you of not caring, you can’t win. If someone wasn’t comfortable with you doing something then they should tell you straight up, instead of making everything so complicated. No one wants to be controlled, however, it’s not controlling if someone is just letting you know how they feel. They’re not saying that you’re not allowed to do anything; they are just simply stating that it would bother them and make them uncomfortable. If you don’t respect that, then you don’t respect them or their feelings.

  121. For this blog, I’m going to write about high school relationships. I don’t understand how people after a month or two of being together can already say “I love you” to each other. Call me old fashion, but I feel you should only say those words when you truly mean it. Even though we’re so young, we all have claimed that we have been in love or are in love. What is love? I don’t know what true love is, a love that you will be willing to cross seas for, or a love in which you can spend the rest of your life with the same person to them and remain faithful. However, I do know the love, that a special someone can make you smile at time, they give you butterflies at the thought of seeing them, they make your stomach do summer salts when they do something so little, but so huge at the same time (first kiss, holding your hand for the first time, etc.), where when your with them you have such an amazing time, you’re smiling the whole way home thinking about them, and where just seeing this person turns your whole day around, just their smile completely changes your mood. My parents always have told me that the relationships I have with boys now are just “High school relationships” that they don’t really mean anything, but to us they mean everything, because to us this is love. We still shouldn’t just throw that word around though, even just being with someone for a month or two, you still don’t really know them all that well. It’s just the beginning of your relationship. The first act or part of a relationship is always fun, but it’s not until the second act where the depth comes in.

  122. Public Displays of Affection, is it good or bad? When you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, it’s completely natural and normal to want to hold their hand, hug them, and kiss them in school, however, it’s to the extent at which you do this that becomes irritating. At times it cute seeing a couple so lovey dovey, happy, and not wanting to let go of one another, but sometimes it’s a little too much. I can’t even tell you how many times, I’ve run into people making out in the hallways, at lunch, or even in a group of friends while hanging out. Those locations are not the proper time or place to display that type of affection towards one another. The PDA that I find acceptable is the holding of the hands, the cute hugs from behind, the kiss on the forehead, or just a simple kiss. These types of affection, I feel mean so much more than making out and being all over each other. In reality, what does that even show or symbolize? Nothing. Whereas, these small but yet so meaningful displays are what truly show what your relationship and what it represents.

  123. Music is like my personal escape from the rest of the world. As soon as I put my headphones in, I literally can’t hear anything or anyone else and it truly is amazing. I love music because; it puts all your feelings and emotions in a way that we can all understand it. There is always a song that describes perfectly, how you are, or what obstacle you happen to be facing in your life at that moment. I like a wide variety of music, and I mean wide variety. One of my really friends this year has opened my eyes and style to music. He showed me lots of hip hop, rap, and some techno. What I really like about music is the beats. I love when a song has a good beat, or some weird but completely awesome melody change (it’s really hard to explain). I also really like when running with music playing in my ears, it makes time fly way faster, and it keeps me entertained when my runs get long. Music is like the ultimate get away.

  124. One thing that I personally feel that a lot of teenagers lost for peers and people of authority is their manners. My parents always told me to say “Please”, “Thank you”, and “No, thank you,” whenever I was out at a friend’s house, family, school, or in public. Even till this day, I am very polite. On my last season of poms, for the mock elections, I was voted as “Miss Manners”. People always laugh at me, saying how cute I am being I’m so polite, but I find it refreshing. I love knowing that by just smiling at someone I don’t know, saying a kind greeting, or simply the gesture of holding the door open for someone that I can make their day. I feel that being polite to people is a way of showing respect and if you show them this gratitude they will surely express it back to you, therefore resulting in the affect of mutual respect.

  125. This is my last blog for the card marking and I am very thankful for that. I love having the freedom to write whatever I want; however, it becomes quite difficult at times when I’m not exactly sure what to write about it, or if my thoughts actually make sense to other people. I’ve been doing blogs for 3 years now, and although they are annoying, I do feel they help my writing style. When I started blogs my sophomore year, my writing was really weak, but now I feel like with writing a blog almost every day for 2 years and now starting them up again, it increases the strength at which I write at. I have never been good at transforming my thoughts into words and I still have a great deal of trouble with that now, but at least I know that I am improving bit my bit. Another way that I feel has increased my writing ability is by reading. I love reading. Normally every summer I read up to 10 books, because I feel it’s a great way to relax and pass time. With reading so much, I just feel that is has opened up my mind to different styles and different approaches at writing. Overall, although blogs have the down sides, I feel that are a good attribute to strengthening our individual writing.

I'm really complacent with already getting into college and don't really feel like doing much else, only enough to graduate. It's a bad mindset to have, but it's pretty hard to fix.

  127. Was just reading some stuff on Facebook (sue me), and it really bothers me how many people have trouble spelling and constructing sentences. That, coupled with terrible grammar just makes me want to hurt someone. I'm not sure who's to blame, whether it's the schools for not teaching it, the students for being lazy, or the students for just not caring. You might think, oh, it's just Facebook, but I think a lot of your habits online can transfer into the real world, whatever they may be. Oh well, my two cents. Can't change the world.

  128. Going for lucky number three. So I'm just gonna throw this out there...the scheme of this page kind of bothers me. The clouds in the background aren't even that cool...I mean yeah, they're clouds, but why are they on the computer? They should be in the sky, obviously. Second, the time on your posts is off (check it, I'll wait). LASTLY, where is says the name of who posted, it's in like yellow or white or some dumb color, so I can't see who posted. Yes, I care who posted. It's much harder to creep on other people's posts with that color.

  129. Fiver. I asked a couple of my friends what pocket they put their wallet in (they were all guys, so no purses). Most of them said their back right pocket. Well, me being the person that I am, I put it in my back left pocket. I felt kinda weird about it, like, why does everyone put it in their back right pocket? The back left is superior because when you are sitting in the desks at school, you don't sit on your wallet, it goes off to the side so you don't have a brick in your ass all day. That sums up why back left pocket for wallet holding is superior.

  130. Sixbricks. Ok, so I'm STILL on Facebook, because, well, I don't really have anything better to do, lol. ANYWAYS, on the topic of Facebook, I'll just dive into Facebook creeping. Facebook creeping is kind of like art; some people think it's weird, but only masters of it can appreciate each others work. Facebook was founded on the premise that creeping is socially acceptable, and moreover, encouraged! Facebook creeping/stalking/whatever is a valueable way to get into gossip and find out what's going on. Or, you can just do it for poops like I do. Everyone does it, just not everyone admits it.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Ok, I lied, I'm on sixbricks now. I must of miscounted along the way. Sheesh. Oh well, it happens. Alright, now I'm heading over to my Gmail account (which I'm currently logged in on this site with, cool beans huh?) to check my e-mail. It's probably mostly, if not all, spam, but that's ok, because it needs to get deleted. I think I have somewhere around 10 email accounts, only 3 of which I still remember the login and password to. Each email account serves a different purpose, and is used for different people, companies, contacts, etc. I like the system I have worked out with email and I think it benefits me more than anything.

  132. Seven and I'm done for the night. I think it's kind of funny how hard people try to force these things. They should be fun, not huge deep philosophical debate type questions, like Morgan said, lol. It's just write about whatever, have fun with it, don't try so hard. It's kinda obvious when people do it, but that's their choice I guess. People might not like the way that I blog either, haha. Oh, and ALSO!, these captchas aren't even real words? Come on, this is redickydonkey. If you're going to make captchas, at least make themr eal words so that I can have some fun trying to guess what they might be. Not like I actually would do that, but still...make them real words. The handicapped guy next to the captcha wants real words; give him what he wants!

  133. So right now I am sitting in CAD class. It is kind of boring but really laid back. The reason I take this class is so that I can get some experience with CAD programs that will help me in the future. When I gorow up, I want to be and Engineer. This way, I can get experience without having to pay for training in programs such as Inventor and Catia when I get older. Some of those classes can be very expensive, over thousands of dollars. I have wanted to go into Engineering ever since I was young. However, I want to go into the more hands on aspect of it, where I design something and then make the prototype. I do not want to get roped into the auto industry where I am the specialist on one part and I never got to put it to the test. I want to work at a smaller company when I get older.

  134. i need a job, bad. theres not alot of people lookeing to hire right now and that just makes it all the more difficult. i have no car and i dont even have any training. i plan i doing all that when i get out of school. my dad says that i have to get a job and i agree with him. theres alot of things i wouldnt mind buying but i just dont have the money to do so. mi have somerwhers around 95$ for car related stuff and my dad says hell help me buy a car but i dont think ill be driving if gas goes up taht much. fucking arabs

  136. At this very moment, I am actaully in my CAD class. I got all my assignments finished so I was able to do some blogging. This class though is very fun. We create computer drawings of all sorts of mechanical parts. When I graduate, I am going to school to become a biomedical engineer. Their job is to design, create and apply medical products such as reaplcement joints or artificial hearts. This class makes me think what types of things I would do in such a career. The sheer idea of the things I could work on are amazing. I am really excited to learn more about it and to get a job doing that.

I was waiting for one of them to blow becasue they were so bald. I decided to get the all terrains for my truck, and went as big as i could. The difference is amazing. The truck is higher, and the overall ride is just much better. The way they perform in the snow and weather are a lot better too. Even though I went through most of the winter with the bald tires, I'm glad I have the new ones now.

Now, I look at my notebooks filled with Calculus and am amazed that I know how to do it. It mkaes me feel really smart and like Ive accomplised something. These skills will help me in my goal of becomming a biomedical engineer. Four years of Calculus are required and by beingn ahead of the game, it will make my college career jus tthat much easier. I'm glad I decided to be in AP and advanced math becasue it will help me out down the line.

  141. So I always have these cool lideas that I want to do. My latest one is that i am going to try to make a circuit to take the output from my unused hi level car stereo outputs (I have an amp that why they are unused) and make some LED lights flicker to the beat of my music. I already have the LEDs under my dash in my car, and I have plans to make this work as well. I made a test circuit and hooked it up to my home stereo system and it works! The concept behind it is that I will use a transistor to determine when to turn the lights on and off. The way a transistor works is that it takes in a signal on the collect lead. There is a base lead that acts as sort of a ground. When there is a signal from the collect lead, the transistor connects the base and emit leads, ehich in turn connects the circuit. In this case, I connected the stereo signal to the collect lead, the 12v power source to the base lead, and the LEDs to the emit lead. It is a bit more complicated thatn that but theis is the simple way to two it. I also made it dual channel so that the lights on the right will licker to the beat of the right channel and vice versa. I also wired in a master switch and a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) switch so that I can have a stay on mode as well as the flicker mode. I am excited to try it out in my car, but as for now it works at my house.

  142. sorry for being cheap. after you make it off the hell hole of the palnet and off the usg ishumora( the ship you came to fix which is the main setting for the story) it goes into dead space 2. dead space 2 stars off as youwaking up in a straight jacket remembering absolutely nothing of how you got there. they found you floating in deap space in the escape pod. within 5 mins of the game you notice taht things are geting worse...again. the person that has come to get you out of your cell is killed mid sentence saying that things arent safe. waht killed him? you guessed it, a damn alien. it then turns out that they built a new marker because there are religious crazys that worshit the thing and its a thing of intrest in the field of science. it causes a new outbreak, yay fun. as you run through the 2 dics set taht is the sprawl you encounter many new enimies. my favorite are the children, they make funny noises when you kill them and since im easily amused it just makes it all that better...

  143. GAS prices are going to drive me nuts. I drive a pickup truck, but get about 19 mpg. Even though my mpg isnt terrible, it is still terrible. Normally, i could pay fourty bucks to fill up my tank, but now it will probably be fifty or higher. Thats ridiculous! I also heard that if the citizens of Saudi Arabia attempt to overthrow their government, we are going to be hit with HUGE gas inflations, and will probably cripple us. This is a scary thought, but it is very possible that this may happen. i guess we can complain now, but only imagine what prices would be if this would happen. I just hope they doint do anything stupid.

  144. I have been riding dirt bikes for a while now. I has been probably around 7 years at this point. I don't ride on a regular basis, but I usually go up north trail riding about 4 or 5 times each summer. I also snowmobiling in the winter. I currently own a 2001 Honda CR250R. It is a 2-stroke racing bike that I have converted to a trail bike. The main thing that I had to do to convert it was put a spark arrestor on it. This needs to be done to comply with laws and so that there are no sparks that burn down the woods. This past winter, I rebuilt the whole engine. I had to replace many bearings and even got a new piston. It is in great shape now and I can't wait to ride it in the summer. I also designed my own graphics kit for it and it looks sick! My dad printed it out because he owns a screen printing company. The bike is really fast and I got it last summer. Since I have had it, I have only been able to get it out of 3rd gear once or twice. I am excited to ride this coming summer after the engine rebuild.

  145. I realized a little while ago that I never really paid attention to when RJ and I started going out. I was trying to figure it out and I figured it out recently it was January 11, 2011. That's like 5 one's. People used to always say 11:11 was magical and to make a wish. Ever since 8th grade I wanted to go out with him but he never felt the same way. I guess that my wish finally did come true on the 11th day of the 11th year of 2000 so that's close enough to me.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Since the summer before 8th grade I have focused on nothing except for grades to get into a good college because I knew friends and school couldn't mix for me. I gave all my friends up or at least hanging out with them after school just to get into a good college and now I feel that it was worth it to some extent. I feel as if by doing that I've come that much closer to what I want to do. I have started hanging out with my friends after school again though so I never completely ignored them I just bid my time.

  147. I remember my first memory of Lakeland was a track meet back in 7th grade we were competing at the Lakeland track none of my family had ever seen me in track before. I joined track because my older brother had always been my hero. I always wanted to be just like him and he was in track back in 7th grade so I was too. I was doing my 1 mile run for my race when I saw my brother and he yelled, "Go Munchie!" that has always been my nickname to him. It made me feel so happy that he was there. When I went around again he wasn't there and I thought I had imagined that. He was actually there I figured once I had finished the race (last as usual but I never gave up). He may not remember that moment but I always will. He has been a great older brother to me.

  148. Eighter. Listening to some JBiebs at the moment. I dunno, it was on 955 and I just listen to that while I'm on the computer, I'm too lazy to change the station. As much as people hate on him for being famous, popular, sounding like a girl, etc, he is really catchy. Like, his songs generally have really good beats and are easy to just kind of listen to. I wouldn't go as far as saying you can bump to them, but they are definately formidable with some of the stuff out there today.

  149. Ninesauce. Next song that came on was "The Show Goes On" by ehhhh sheesh, by...LUPE FIASCO! I think it's a really good song personally. It has pretty good lyrics, a nice air-guitary sort of background music and an overall positive message. It's kind of different than a lot of the rap/hip-hop around by like Lil' Wayne where all they do is rap about money, cars, clothes, women, drugs, etc. Who says that rap can't have a positive message? 2Pac was a prime example of demonstrating the struggles of the black community, but he did it through music. He captivated a lot of people with his lyrics, and that's one way to get people's attention.

  150. As much people think I'm a hick, I'm really not. The genre I really enjoy listening to is rock/metal. I've grown up with this kind of music and I love it. As much people think rock now is just about a bunch of screaming, its not. Sometimes if you listen to the lyrics to these songs, they mean a lot and some can relate to the songs. Its also fun learning these songs on guitar because it not only gives you something to do, but you can learn new things like hammering on or pulling off strings.

  151. Ten. I was just thinking about how I stopped watching South Park. I used to be really into it and would never miss a new episode. Comedy Central on Wednesdays. I think the main reason that I stopped watching is that they were trying WAY too hard to meet the deadline and come out with a new episode instead of focusing on how funny the episode was. I remember the earlier seasons of South Park were the funniest ones. They're still some of the funniest episodes that I've ever seen. One of my Favorite's was Cripple Fight, just because of how ridiculous the premise of the episode was. Overall, I feel like the creators need to go back to their roots.

  152. Eleven. So, it looks like I'm starting work up again this weekend. I do season work at Bogie Lake Greenhouse, right across the street from Lakeland. As much as I'm not looking forward to it, I really have no room to complain. It's a great job with great people, the work is tiring, but the work atmosphere is one that you won't find anywhere else. I basically pick my own hours and days that I want to work, so I can work it around school and other events. I had another job this past summer and quit within the first two days because it was just so terrible. I vouched from then on never to take the job that I have for granted, just because it could be sooooo much worse.

  153. Today, I saw a music video called "Far from Home" by Five Finger Death Punch and they took pictures of the military for the video. It really opened my eyes on what they have to go through every day. We complain about a test or a homework assignment that comes up in school when in the military, they get no sleep, rarely any food, or even a family to go home to every day. They are out there to fight for our freedom and it just bugs me about people who don't care about our troops. I hope that they all return safely to their families.

  154. Twelve. So I heard that Charlie Sheen got fired from his role on Two and a Half Men. As an avid fan, borderline obsessive, of this show, it disheartens me to hear that. Sheen is a great actor and a hilarious guy. I can see where they are coming from though...I think before he can resume his role on the show, or anywhere else, he needs to get his life in order, however he might see it. I heard that in a recent interview he said that he was going to marry a tree? Like, wtf...seriously? I act like that sometimes, but not to that extent.

  155. Thirteen. So...college mail. I'm pretty sure we've all got at least some at one point or another. I love getting mail from colleges with all this information and stuff in it. It makes me feel important like...I've worked hard for such a long time and now colleges want me to go to their university. I'm happy when I get stuff from like Dartmouth and U of M, not really like Baker and Davenport...not the greatest schools ever. My favorite ones are where they misspell your name on the stuff that they send you. Like...come on, if you want me to come to your school, the least you can do is get my name right.

  156. Fourteen. Woooo, only two more of these to go. Not gonna lie, I hate doing these. I think it's a huge hassle and not fun to do at all. The only upside to doing it is that I get to do it on the computer. I'm a really fast typer, so I get these done pretty quick, as opposed to like math, where you have to think about the problem, write it down, think more, etc. Then you get a whole page of problems to do and it's just not fun at all. I'm pretty far behind in math right now and we have a test coming up this Thursday. Gotta get into gear after I finish these up and start some of the homework so I actually know what's going on for the test. :)

  157. Fifteen. Last one. After this, probably gonna go shave and shower, then just relax the rest of the night. Speaking of shaving, I got an electric razor for Christmas. I had just been using disposable for the longest time, so it was kind of hard to make the switch from disposable to electric. Well, I'm really glad I did. The shave is pretty close, almost as close as shaving against the grain. I can do it whenever, it's not a hassle to put on shaving cream and wash it etc, it's just go go go go. It's a huge convienance to have and I don't know how I ever went without it.

  158. Procrastination is one of my biggest problems, and it has even affected this blogging assignment. This Friday, I have a final draft paper due, a speech, 14 more blog entries after this, and I have to be packed for my trip to Chicago AND to move into a new house. And I have about 1/4 of all of that done.
Procrastination is a funny thing; I always know when I'm doing it, and I always hate that I put important stuff off. But at the same time, I just can't stop.

  159. I'm so excited for this weekend. I'm going to Chicago with my cosmetology school all weekend, and it's going to be so much fun. Then, as soon as I get home Monday night, we're packing up the moving truck and moving Tuesday morning. I'm really looking forward to our new house. This is going to be our fifth time moving in six years, but it's different because my parents just got back together last November.
The house is out in Highland/borderline Holly, and it's back in the woods, so it's going to be a huge change since I've lived in the center of White Lake for the past four years.
    Moving is always exciting.

I'll also get to start working in a salon once I get all of my hours and pass my tests. It's kind of scary that soon we'll all be going out into the "real world" but at the same time it's exciting. It's going to be fun to come back to a reunion and see where everyone ends up.

  161. I'm nervous for my speech on Friday. I'm the first person to present out of my entire class, because we're supposed to start them next week but I won't be here on my assigned day. I've always liked watching a few people present first, and then going so I can learn from their ideas. I really wish that I didn't have such a fear of public speaking. I mean, my job is going to be all about talking to people. Not necessarily speaking in front of large groups, but I'm going to be meeting new people constantly and I'll have to start and carry on conversations. I'm hoping that Senior English will help me work through my fear so that I can get better.

Junk food is on the top of his list. He even said to me once, "I don't like to cook anything. The best food is the kind that comes in a box or a bag and is ready to eat when you open it."
This is so funny to me, because cookin runs in the family, so I don't know where his tastes came from haha.

  164. All of the drama in high school just makes me laugh. I don't understand why people waste their time with petty arguments and rumors. News flash, we're all going to be out of here and going our own separate ways in just three short months. Drama pisses a lot of people off, but...I just don't get it, I never have. My philosophy is, if you don't like someone, leave them alone. And, if you find out someone doesn't like you, leave them alone. It's so simple. If someone is trying to start something with you, just laugh and feel bad for them because they obviously have nothing better to do.

I'm pretty shy at Lakeland but I'm actually more of an outgoing person when I'm in a more comfortable setting. I think if people in my classes at Lakeland saw me at OTC, they'd think I was a completely different person. I'm a vegetarian, I have been for three years, and I don't think I could ever go back. I'm a receptionist at the salon inside JCPenney, but I only work Sundays. I attend cosmetology school(OTC) and I absolutely love it. I eventually want to open my own salon and become a master colorist. In my free time, I like to hang out with my boyfriend or just relax at home. I have two cats and a dog and I love them with all my heart C: I only watch TV at night, and my favorite shows are Family Guy, Scrubs, and Degrassi. I love music, and I listen to almost every genre.

  167. I love music. My favorite genres are probably Rock, Metal, Classic Rock, Acoustic, Pop, and Rap. I like some country and I don't mind jazz. I have a lot of favorite bands and artists from all different genres. I really like Blink-182, Lamb of God, Lil Wayne, and Bright Eyes. I've been to a lot of concerts, but I don't really go to them anymore. I love that I have such a wide variety of music that I like, I've found that I have something in common with everyone I meet. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people make fun of others based on the music they listen to, but sadly I don't think that's something that will ever go away.

I love music because i feel that it kinda describes me in a way. I feel people could tell what kind of person i am due to the music i listen to.

  169. Today was a good day for me, i had school then went to the gym. The gym is one of my passions because if your having a bad day or just feel like getting your swell on then the gym is for you. I mean what other place can you go and let out your anger through lifting. At the same time your both letting your anger out and making yourself a healthier person. The gym is also a cool way to meet new people. Stirring up a conversation at the gym is a fun and easy way to get to know new people. Another thing that's a positive about the gym is that you can learn a lot of new things everyday. by observing people you can learn a new workout each day. So if you find yourself a little angry of just looking to make yourself a healthier person then go hit up the gym

I have taught kids from ages 5-13 and I love it. I love working with kids especially elementary school kids and teaching them about gymnastics, which I also love. I have been coaching for 4 years and have discovered that I would like to become an elementary school teacher.

  173. Alot of people think my taste in music is different and not that of a regular teenager. I don't know alot of music that is out right now. As weird as it might sound, I listen to 70s and 80s music. Which in my opinion is some of the best music ever. Most of the songs have a good beat or have meaning to the song and very talented musicians. Some of my favorites are A-ha, AC/DC, Aldo Nova, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Cars, Chicago, Hall & Oats, Def Leppard, The Doors, Eagles, Foreigner, Huey Lewis, INXS, Journey, Kenny Loggins, The Knack, Led Zeppelin, The Police, R.E.O. Speedwagon, The Rolling Stones, Styx, Survivor, Toto, The Tubes, Van Halen, Whitesnake, The Who, ZZ Top, and so much more. I mostly listen to rock from the 70s and 80s, but I listen to alot of different varites of older music. I know it sounds weird, but I've liked that kind of music since I was really litte.

Yes, He is really crazy, he is a small dog, weighs about 20 pounds, but he can just to about my height. He is really crazy and loves seeing people and other animals. Also, he will eat anything. I swear that if we just keep giving him food nonstop for hours that he would just keep eating. The other dog is Dottie. She is a rare dog and we had to go to Ohio to get her. She is a Basinji. She is quiet and not nearly as crazy as Peppy. She is the only type of dog that physically can't bark. Basinji's are very much like cats. She the closest kids of dog to a cat. She also has a curly tail, that looks like a pig's tail and also weighs about 20 pounds. They are adorable and they are like my best friends.

  175. I remember when I first started gymnastics. I started off doing some classes and learned really quick. I got to the highest level of the recreational or fun side of the gym really quick. i stayed there for a while learning new skills because I liked having fun and being with my friends. Then I decided that I wanted to try team gymnastics. I tried it for a couple of days and immediatley I wanted to go back to the fun team. My parents wouldn't let me of course. They thought I should give team a chance and wanted me to stick with team. I did, but I ended up moving to Bounce Gymnastics and my parents still forced me to stay on team. There at Bounce Gymnastics was better though. It wasn't as strict and I made friends and got used to the team atmosphere. It was easy to get along with everyone because from the higher levels, there was only 8 girls. Eventually, though half the team had to quit because of back problems. One girl quit because she didn't want to do it anymore. So, then there was only 3 girls left and we eventually deicided to move to a different gym. One of the girls I was really good friends with went to a different gym though then me and the other girl. I really missed our old team alot. I started traing at another gym and the girls there were really nice and everything, but it just wasn't the same as the team we had a Bounce. I will never forget those days and the friends I had there.

  177. Yesterday I retook a Calculus test after school. I studied a lot for it and I think I did pretty well. I knew how to do every problem, so I think im good. My grade in math is very important. I am going to college for enginerring so math is critical. My grade still matters because they require a second semester transcript to make sure you still have good grades. Sometimes, if grades drop a lot, they will repeal your acceptance and any scholarships they have given you. I am pretty excited about college and the field I am going in. I think it willl be really interesting and I hope that I do well in there too.

  178. My friend was asking me about a place where he could fill up his sir tanks for paintball. A few years ago, I used to play paintball all the time. It was one of my favorite things to do. It reminded me of the countless times me and a huge group of friends would go out an d play paintball. Sometimes, we would have over 15 guys show up. It was a lot of fun, and I wished i did it more. Everyone became busy as highschool drug on, and we havent played in a long time. I would like to play again soon, but comitting that many people at once is hard to do now.

  179. Senioritis is a big problem for me right now. I feel like I don't ever want to do anything homework related anymore because the end is so near. I already have been accepted to the college I want to go to. I think most people develop a bad case of senioritis when they get accepted to college. I know the AP tests are all coming up soon and I am not looking forward to them. I just wat to get out of Lakeland and get a fresh start in college. I want to start over so that can meet new people and have a better impression on people. Overall, I cannot wait to get out of lakeland and go to college.

  180. This week has been really terrible. This happens every week before a term ends. All the teachers decide that they havent done enough, or need more assignments, so they assign all sorts of stuff before the term ends. Tests projects, papers and all sort of other stuff is assigned and wanted due before the card marking ends. It is really stupid. I dont understand why teachers cant just even out all their assignments over the term and plan before hand. dont cram all sorts of stuff at thte very end. This doesnt help when most of your teachers are doign this either. This causes tons of homework on us and gets really overwhleming. This has always happened though so I am used to it, but that doesnt mean that I like it.

  181. If i had to pick a favorite food, I dont know what i would say. I love all types of food, and I am not picky about anything. Some of my favorite foods though a re seafood. Crab legs, lobster, blue gill, and walleye are some of my favorite seafood. I also like sushi a lot too. Becasue I am a hunter, I also love venison. Any game is good. Venison, partridge, pheasant and turkey are all very good. A good pasta is also really good. Alfredos and linguinis are some of the best. I dont know if i could pick just one favorite food, since i have so many favorites.

  182. Here at Lakelnad, I really do not like the way people look at me and make assumptions about me. I feel like people look at me and see that I am smart and because of that I do not like to have fun. I love to have fun and joke around with my friends. I have a few friends that know this, but for the most part people do not like to joke around with me. I also have many other things that I do that people do not necessarily know about. I play the drums, ride dirt bikes, waterski, wakeboard, snowboard, and many other things. This is why I want to go to college so soon so that I can start over fresh. Overall, I wish people wouldn't stereotype so much because the truth is, I like to have fun and just because I get good grades doesn't mean anything.

  183. Ice fishing has been really godd for me this year. I love hunting and fishing, but I havent done a whole lot of ice fishing over the years. This past year, however, I have done a lot more. I found a couple of really good lakes to fish on. one time, my dad, brother and I went out and caught buckets full. We had a huge feat. It was amazing. From now on, I am going to go ice fishing a lot more. I just never really got into it until this year. I realized how much fun it is, and it gives me something to do in the middle of winter.

  184. One thing that people do not know about me is that I am really fascinated with technology. I even work as an Intern for the HVS TEchnology Department. My favorite parts of technology though are phones and ipods. I think it is cool how they can fit so many things into the integrated circuits in cell phones. They also fit things such as microprocessors, RAM, and accelerometers. For about a year now, I have had the original Motorola Droid. I have hacked it (it's called rooting it) so that the adnroid OS is even more of an open source. I have done many things to the phone. One thing I have done it flashed a custom ROM on it. This is basically installing a custom Android operating system on the phone for added features. One such feature is the availability of putting themes over the stadard android theme. I can also ue my phone for WiFi tethering for free (which is where the phone takes the 3G sugnal and converts it to a WiFi signal so that laptops, iPods, etc can connect to it). I have also "overclocked" my Droid so that the CPU will run faster. The stock processor is rated to run at a mere 600Mhz and is even underclocked to 550Mhz. I have flashed a custom low-voltage (which saves battery) kernel that will run the phone anywhere from 550Mhz to 1GHz. There are even some kernels that will go as high as 1.25Ghz. I usually run my phone ata bout 800Mhz because it does but added stress on the processor. It runs faster though, nonetheless. This is just one of my projects that I have done that is technology related. It interest me a lot, and it think it is really cool, even if it is nerdy.

  185. Ever since I started applying for colleges this past October, and even before then, I have gotten so much mail. Some days, I get more mail from colleges thatn my parents do. Most of the time, it is just garbage, and it is really annoying. All they see is money signs over ym head and spam me with a ll sorts of letters in order to try and convince me to go to their college. I dont mind most of the time, but when I get the same letters, or very similar ones, from the same college over and over again, it gets really annoying. Its nice if they are scholrships or something, but 9 times out of 10, its just garbage.

  186. Next week i have baseball tryouts and im really excited to start playing. Baseball is one of my favoite sports because it takes a lot of skill to play. One thing i respect about baseball is that is one of the most competive team sports out their. When i say team i mean the whole team. Baseball not just one player can holod the team unlike most sports. You have to play as a team and work together. If your not on the same page then your team will not play as a team. Their is no individuals in baseball and thats what i enjoy about it the most.

  192. I walked into my 4th hour oday to find that I had a substitute again. Yesterday, my teacher said she would be gone only for first and second hour, but apparently, shes still not here. I guess that se didnt call for a sub since she didnt know she would be gone this long. That is why our sub is an actual teacher here at lakeland. it is proabbly his lunch break and they asked if he could be an emergency sub for our class. This doesnt happen very often, but we never have to do anything usually because the teacher never left ny materials. I just think it is funny that this happens. Things come up I suppose and everyone gets caught in messes sometimes. Im not sure why she was gone earlier, or why she is still not abck, but its ok. Stuff happens sometimes. Besides, its nice to have a class period today that I dont have to do much so I can study for some tests and catch up on some work.

  193. I hope college life will be fun. I am sort of nervous to go into college, as it is a big change. i'm sure it will be a lot of fun, its just I am worried that my classes will be really hard. I am going to college to become a biomedical engineer. This requires some really havey math. right now, Im in the highest math here at lakeland (AP Calculus), but that doesnt mean i dont struggle with it. I think in college for this program, I have to take up to Calc. 4. Thats crazy. I dont know how I will do. But then again, I thought that in my earlier years of high school about now, and i'm pulling my own weight. I have noticed though that I require more help in this class that I have before in my math classes. Calc is a hard subject, and requires a lot more effort in order to learn I suppose. In the end though, it will be worth it, because biomedical engineering is very interesting and is something I would liek to do for the rest of my life. I would be able to help save lives, without being the surgeon.

  194. what is the point of homework? i think its extreamly pointless and a waste of time. expecially the homework you get just for busy work. i think that all the things we need to learn should be done in school and only school. we already have to go to school for such a long time i feel thats its a waste for us to set aside another 2 hours to do all of our homework when half the time teachers just grade it for completition.

  195. highschool drama? i think its over rated..whats the point of it? why cant we just all be friends and all get along? i hate that fact that all of our school is in "clicks" or "groups". people start stupid fights over the smallest things. and whats the point of talking behind someones back? i think that if you have a problem you should just say it to them or not say it at all. expecially when you are a senior in highschool and you still have drama daily its annoying. like grow up forreal and lets just all get along to make our last year the best.

  196. so someone did a widget speech on something that records all your dreams when you sleep. and i thought that was the coolest invention ever. how sweet would it be to be able to go back and watch all your dreams. even now like i have a dream every night and for the most part the are pretty weird. but when i wake up i get mad because i wanna go back to it just to see what will happen. Its almost like every single night i get to watch a movie but i never finish it.

  198. so as most teenagers would say facebook in kinda sorta addicting. i love facebook. mostly just to see all the funny things people say on there or when people think there cool to fight on facebook for like 100 comments like lol no one want to see that even thought its pretty funny. Its kinda the same thing as myspace which idk why people dont use that anymore. but i went on mine the other day and i was so different from when it used to be. or it prolly wasnt but it was just werid to me. Facebook is a good way to keep intouch with old friends friens that have moved away or even family members you never knew you had.

  199. My sister hailey. we are super close she is like my bestfriend. Its very rare that you see us not together. we do alomst everything together. well not as much as we use to becasue she has a boyfriend that is very demanding and takes her most of the time. it really bugs me becasue its almost like im loosing my sister and my bestfriend. she means everything to me i dont know what i would do without her. i can go to her with everything and anything. she is the only person i can 100 percent act my self around and i wont feel weird. when we are together we are always laughing and haveing a good time and i am so thankful of that, i just wish her boyfriend would share her becasue she really is an amazing person and i love her to death. no one will ever know me like she knows me or care for me like she cares for me. ya like every sibling we do fight but we get over it in litteraly 2 minutes we go from fighting and yelling to oh hey dude did you hear, its weird but i can never stay mad at her no matter what happens. i will always have her back over anyone elses and she will always mean the most to me.
